DENIM DREAM

WILFRED QUILTED JACKET + SWEATER, MADEWELL SILK TOP, 7 FOR ALL MANKIND JEANS, STEVE MADDEN SHOES

These photos were snapped on an overcast day in Steveston (lots of great cafes here, my favourite is Rocanini) with The Boy. Pulled this outfit together for a quick, comfy look. I'm not much of a jeans kind of girl, but these 7 For All Mankind "Second Skin" jeans are a dream. They're crazy comfortable and fit just right. I also recently got the jacket - I can't stop wearing it. It's the perfect jacket for in-between Vancouver weather!

NOT LEOPARD? NOT INTERESTED

BRANDY & MELVILLE SWEATER, GAP JEANS, STEVE MADDEN SHOES, MICHAEL KORS WATCH

One of my go-to comfy outfits: an oversized knit sweater, boyfriend jeans, and a pair of flats/loafers. I looked at many leopard-print shoes before I decided on this Steve Madden pair - the colours and patterns varied from shoe to shoe, but I loved this combination the most. Whenever I wear these shoes, I go with a more understated outfit so it looks cleaner and draws more attention to the awesome pattern!

P.S. I recently started using the great addiction that is Pinterest! As if I needed another form of social media to keep track of. It's just a great and simple way to share tastes and ideas. Follow my pins if you'd like - just click the button below!

One of the biggest events during the 12th San Diego Asian Film Festival was the Awards Gala. Over 600 celebrities, guests, filmmakers, sponsors, partners, and friends came together to recognize the winning films in this year's festival. Also present was Nancy Kwan, the pioneer of Asian American women in Hollywood, who was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

My job that night was to run the red carpet - it was my first experience with working the red carpet, but it was so much fun! Being in that kind of environment reminded me that celebrities really are normal people, too, and they deserve to be treated as such.

My time with the San Diego Asian Film Foundation ended this past Friday, but I'm extremely grateful for all that I was able to learn and do with the entire SDAFF team. I encountered some really incredible people in the past six months, and I will not soon forget them!

NEW YORK, NEW YORK

COMMUNITY HEMP PARKA, WILFRED FAUX LEATHER LEGGINGS, STEVE MADDEN BOOTS, MARC BY MARC JACOBS BAG

With Halloween now over, I've already seen lots of stores putting up Christmas decorations! Macy's has been totally decked out in holiday cheer. It's actually so strange for me to be seeing Christmas decor in Southern California... as much as I love the sun here, it just doesn't feel right to have Christmas AND warm weather - it's always been one or the other in Toronto!

These photos are actually from last year's trip to NYC - for the past two years, I've been in NYC every holiday season to visit The Boy and his family. I don't really know what it is, but there's always something magical about being in NYC for the holidays... all the city lights, the Christmas store displays, the skating rinks, people milling about... somehow, it just feels right. It doesn't hurt that NYC winters aren't as cold as Toronto ones!

I'm currently in the midst of planning my winter travel route... if all goes well, I'll be flying from Vancouver > Toronto > NYC > Vancouver. What are your plans for this holiday season?
